Many apologies for not testing the previous patch more widely before uploading. The issue is less about people not caring about MATE, Xfce and LXDE and more that the Ayatana Packagers team is running on steam. For instance, all the indicator stuff is well behind Ubuntu at this point. If you're using the indicator stack regularly and interested in helping maintain it, I'd be willing to review/sponsor uploads. Before Jessie's release, we really should try to align with the packages that will be in the next Ubuntu LTS.
