The best way to gather a logfile from i3bar is to add “verbose yes” to
the bar {} block in your i3 configuration. Restart i3, killall i3bar and
start i3bar like this:
i3bar --bar_id=$(i3-msg -t get_bar_config | cut -d\" -f 2) >log.txt 2>&1
Then, start the tray apps and provide log.txt in your bugreport.
