Package: udev
Version: 0.071-1
Followup-For: Bug #337826

My pcmcia cf card adapter does not work anymore (and the sd/mmc slot of
my laptop either). This happened with the change to 0.071-1 (with the
removed hotplug support). If the card was inserted before the cf-card
was detected and /dev/hdc and /dev/hdc1 were created. Now there is no
listing of the hdc-devices in /proc/partitions and there is no message
that any card is inserted in dmesg.

The sd/mmc slot is handled by the pcmcia-cardmgr mechanism too. So I guess that
there is not only the network stuff of the pcmcia handling broken but
some initializing routine is not started when inserting any pcmcia
card (and so e. g. the /etc/networking/interfaces stuff is not handled
for networking devices too).
