Upstream chose to ignore those bug reports. In all actuality webkit itself has no security support. Chromium is the only webkit-based browser that has an upstream that does regular security updates. That fact is already made clear in the debian release notes. Given the unfortunate upstream state, there is probably no reason to keep this bug report open since it is never going to be fixed...
