Thanks for reporting this. I can also confirm it. I don't have a lot of time to work on xpdf right now, so I'm tagging the bug to indicate that I'm looking for help on it. Note that pthread_mutex_lock.c is part of eglibc's source. Also, something similar happened a few years ago. See #591724 and its merged bugs.
