That's not normal, and it's not something I can reproduce here. Could
you please paste some of this output to see if they really come from
libusb? Could you try with a simple application like lsusb?

The environment variable is not USB_DEBUG but LIBUSB_DEBUG. Try to set
LIBUSB_DEBUG=0 to see if it disable the debug output you see.
