Package: rwhod Version: 0.17-8 Severity: normal
When the socket is not bindable (in my case because it was already running), rwhod silently fails. rwhod does generate an error in syslog, but nothing on stderr. Also, rwhod tries to bind a socket before parsing its options (which is funny, since I would expect it to find out which interfaces to bind first?). Besides giving frustrating results when binding fails silently, this also gives interesting results when trying to get usage information: nanahara:~# rwhod -? nanahara:~# rwhod ? nanahara:~# rwhod aaargh nanahara:~# Probably the order of option parsing and socket binding should be reversed and/or used socket should give some kind of feedback?
