* What led up to the situation? after the recent update, ibus no longer
hides the icon on the system tray
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)? My settings are not to show the icon; since it was shown, I
have activated and deactivated the setting, with no effect (icon always shown).
The problem persists on re-starting Debian.
* What was the outcome of this action? nothing
* What outcome did you expect instead? icon on system tray to be hidden
