From my tests : - openjdk-7u25 + log4j 2.0-beta8 => Crash with OOM - openjdk-7u25 + log4j 2.0-beta9 => OK So it seems that this issue root cause is (was?) inside log4j 2.x Could you please test with latest release of log4j 2 and confirm this ?
