Package: rrdtool Version: 1.4.8-0.1 Severity: wishlist Tags: patch This package hasn't been updated for a quite long time, around 1 year, and the upstream version has been incremented to 1.4.8. Since we are using the rrdtool library and Python bindings, I have patched the existing 1.4.7 package to build with upstream version 1.4.8.
As the system information states, I am using oldstable, but it should compile just fine one stable, since I haven't fixed any compilation issue, just debian package additions and removal of some patches which were already implemented in the upstream code. The patches to build version 1.4.8 are in my github repository at: https://github.com/alindobre/rrdtool-1.x/tree/pkg/deb/master The pkg/deb/master branch is the master branch found in maintainers repository at http://git.snow-crash.org/?p=pkg-rrdtool.git;a=summary, with my patches applied on top of it.
