Package: cupt Version: 2.6.1 Severity: wishlist Support for version 3 requires a few changes.
- The version header line should be "VERSION 3" - The native architecture should be emitted as "APT::Architecture=..." - The description line for each package is broken into the following fields: pkg_name old_ver old_arch old_ma direction new_ver new_arch new_ma filename/action Independent of this, apt also grew the ability to specify that a tool should receive this information on a specific fd. - The tool can request that it receives this info on a specific fd via DPkg::Tools::options::cmd::InfoFd. If this is set, APT_HOOK_INFO_FD should be set in the environment that runs the tool so that it can determine what fd to open.
