Package: parted Version: 2.3-16 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I recently updated my Debian sid and, since this update, I have a failure when creating a primary partition on a loopback device. The exact same commands used to work and have been tested on an Ubuntu with parted 2.3.
The error is: Error: Error informing the kernel about modifications to partition /dev/loop1p1 -- Invalid argument. This means Linux won't know about any changes you made to /dev/loop1p1 until you reboot -- so you shouldn't mount it or use it in any way before rebooting.
