I am not convinced about depending explicitly on g??-4.8 though, if anything I think that it would be better "g++ >= 4:4.8". Even then, I think that if the architectures cannot keep up with recent versions of GCC, they will be discarded from the main supported architectures, or die. I certainly don't see any architecture shipping in Jessie with GCC 4.6 as default. Also, ogre-1.9 will not be a very popular package at least until it's the default of OGRE versions (or even then, the max OGRE popcon is 0.73%), and will have almost zero real usage and testing in arches used mostly as servers.
