Hi
I was also affected by the bug, and have been able to solve it.
The (gnome) bug to which this debian bug has been forwarded is
incorrect; the correct one is
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=686908
In that bug, a patch has already been provided
(https://git.gnome.org/browse/banshee/commit/?h=stable-2.6&id=7797658ca8096c15d578d8e3f77241ed1516795a);
I applied it to the source package from unstable and it works for me. I
suggest to apply it to the package (sid version - 2.6.1), because this
bug is IMO very serious (even though it's not a security bug): switching
on music at maximum volume at 23.00 is definitely nothing pleasant, and
if you use earphones this bug can really be a serious problem.
