Package: alpine
Version: 2.02+dfsg-2
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

Alpine only supports S/MIME (and even then it cannot both encrypt and sign a
message in a
way it can be decrypted) and explicitly says it cannot work with PGP-type
encryption. A
workout is available but has severe limitations.

But neither documentation nor website mention the reasons for that decision.
Please
reconsider.
