Hi,

Just joining from the side-line with a shameless ad. It seems like:

would make a decent basis for a comment for the override. These days
Lintian will show the comment associated with the override, so people
running "lintian --show-overrides gzip*.dsc" would then be presented
with the rationale for the override(s).
Just a suggestion that may help others figuring out that the overrides
are deliberate and understanding why they are being overridden.
