I don't have any experience with older versions of lurker, but I see that there is a "dbdir" option in lurker's config file, so I would guess that the current version of lurker actually _does_ support multiple databases, provided that multiple config files are used. If this is correct, it should be possible to create separate archives for individual private lists or for individual sites (groups), and README.mailman should be fixed not to give a wrong impression.
