I opened bugs on all the packages that do recommend or suggest linux-image (none depend on it): #724560 src:firmware-nonfree (multiple binary packages) #724561 systemtap #724562 fiaif #724563 firmware-linux-free #724564 shorewall #724565 firmware-crystalhd #724566 dkms #724567 src:b43-fwcutter (multiple binary packages) I don't think they need to block this bug, as removing the Provides won't make them unininstallable.
