Package: libgpgme11 Version: 1.2.0-1.2 Severity: important I am getting a 'strange' error code/message from gpgme_new() in the libgpgme11 package. The works just fine under CentOS 5 (using gpgme-1.1.5-4.el5). Oh, the program also fails with Debian Release 7.1 (slightly different, but just as bogus error message). I found the one cure is to downgrade to verstion 1.1.8 of libgpgme11, but that file no longer seems to be available. It is not possible for me to upgrade to a newer version of libgpgme11 (dependency problems) and I cannot upgrade to a newer version of Debian either (this code has to work with a system that is hardwired to Debian 6).
