Package: pavucontrol Version: 1.0-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation?
I have a HDMI monitor with built-in sound. I would like to use an analog sound output on my laptop, but my system prefers sending the sound output to the HDMI monitor. I use Pavucontrol to set the output according to my preference, but these settings are forgotten and I have to set them again and again. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I click on Pavucontrol > Settings > Built-in Audio > Profile > Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output - changed to Analog Stereo Output and then in Playback > ALSA Playback > Built-in Audio Digital Stereo (HDMI) - changed to Built-in Audio Analog Stereo. * What was the outcome of this action? The sound is played through the analog ouptut, but when I quit the application and start it again over time, or when I restart the system, the digital (HDMI) output settings are back again. * What outcome did you expect instead? I would like to set my preferred sound output settings just once. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.10-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=sk_SK.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=sk_SK.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages pavucontrol depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 2.8.0-2 ii libatkmm-1.6-1 2.22.7-2 ii libc6 2.17-92+b1 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.12.14-4 ii libcairo2 1.12.14-4 ii libcairomm-1.0-1 1.10.0-1 ii libcanberra-gtk3-0 0.30-2 ii libcanberra0 0.30-2 ii libgcc1 1:4.8.1-10 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.28.2-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.36.4-1 ii libglibmm-2.4-1c2a 2.36.2-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.8.4-1 ii libgtkmm-3.0-1 3.8.1-1 ii libpango1.0-0 1.32.5-5+b1 ii libpangomm-1.4-1 2.34.0-1 ii libpulse-mainloop-glib0 4.0-6 ii libpulse0 4.0-6 ii libsigc++-2.0-0c2a 2.2.10-0.2 ii libstdc++6 4.8.1-10 pavucontrol recommends no packages. pavucontrol suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
