The normal way to do so would be to offer up a patch.  Working code
speaks *much* louder than words...

Actually, creating a new tar-scripts binary package that contains just
the four scripts in question, is not installed by default, and conflicts
with at least the dump package is a better solution than I had thought
of before.  I happen to have a little free time this morning, so I'll
just go do that...
