Package: e2fsprogs
Version: 1.34+1.35-WIP-2003.12.07-2
Severity: normal
Followup-For: Bug #325834

E: This installation run will require temporarily removing the essential
package e2fsprogs due to a Conflicts/Pre-Depends loop. This is often bad, but
if you really
want to do it, activate the APT::Force-LoopBreak option.
E: Internal Error, Could not early remove e2fsprogs

I've cleaned my apt cache and updated the package list using apt-get update
and the above error message still appears. I'm not sure what to do.

This error now seems to come up no matter what package I tried to upgrade
and install, as a result, I don't dare updateing any of my existing packages.

Please let me know how I can fix this error.

Thanks a lot.

Patrick
