I don't understand your description of the bug.  The failure in your
attached build log is:

        make[2]: *** No rule to make target `test-fm.at', needed by 
`testsuite'.  Stop.

What does this have to do with -L/usr/lib?  Furthermore, the string
/usr/lib doesn't appear in the build log anywhere.
