Hi Ben, Have you been able to take a look into this? One thing that I thought of, which may explain why you didn't notice the change, is that cursor changes take a while to appear. An X application has to be restarted for it to pick up the new cursors, and for the window manager to do so, the entire X session has to be restarted.
