fai-setup-storage's cryptsetup support includes some strange handling of binary data, namely data read from /dev/urandom. Attached mbox contains a few additional comments and it simply drops the calls to head and tail. I'm unsure of the original intention of the code, and I don't quite like what it does, but it should be slightly better with the patch.
