I'm doing what I can to keep the package into shape in the hours I can spend on this at work. I'm not opposed to backport but it's not high on my priority list. We use the package on Wheezy so I'm fairly confident that a backport will not be a problematic affair. Since you are a DD, would you perhaps be willing to maintain the backport?
