It is not clear to me in what way the new upstream version fixes an issue in the packaging. In any case the reported issue is fully present as can be seen on the updated dedup report[1]. Did you mistake this bug number for another? I already gave a command to be added to debian/rules as a proposed solution. Has that been insufficient for some reason?
