Yes, I've already had some brief discussions with Thomas and Stefan about the packages. We're getting quite close to having working xenserver-core packages for Debian (in addition to the current versions for CentOS). I don't think you will want to use those packages directly in Debian, but as a result of trying to build our own Debian packages we have been removing as many of these distribution-specific quirks in the upstream packages as possible which should make packaging easier in future.
