To fix this would be non-trivial.

Emacs Muse (muse-el) only marks up lists as such if they begin with
one or more spaces, which solves the problem.

emacs-wiki will be considered deprecated by the end of the year -- I
am porting its remaining functionality to Emacs Muse.
