Package: avahi-daemon Version: 0.6.31-2 Severity: important Avahi is started too early in the boot order, before network-manager has established a connection to the outside world. As a result, the detection of remote PulseAudio sinks via Gnome's volume control fails. The only work-around is to manualy re-launch Avahi after the desktop session has started using e.g. "sudo invoke-rc.d avahi-daemon restart" via gnome-terminal.
