Isn't it a bug to be tracked with this package though, and Jaldhar
should be alerted to it?

Thanks for explaining the whole picture, which wasn't clear to me.
It's now clearer to me, but at first it seemed like you just closed
the bug report because it wasn't your problem. To me, and to most
users, a bug report should probably stay open as long as the problem
exists in the versions in the archive. How the maintainer(s) achieve
this is their decision, but tools like reassign exist for this
purpose…
