For the sake of sanity, please do that. This dependency is constantly
creating headaches as installations or dist-upgrades constantly
fail when either Iceweasel or Icedove are out of sync version-wise
when xul-ext-adblock-plus is updated.

This single Firefox extension breaks the whole GNOME installation,
it's really incredibly annoying and isn't really worth the hassle.

If people want to use the plugin, they can simply install it themselves,
most Firefox users know how to do that.

Cheers,

Adrian
