Hi all, @Vincent thanx for taking the initiative here. As it stands now, cinnamon is unusable in wheezy. In testing it was removed due to the cogl/clutter transition. See https://lists.debian.org/debian-testing-changes/2013/08/msg00032.html for the removal note from testing. The only version in the archive i.e. 1.7.4-2.1+b1 suffers from #720466 . I tried it at my end too and had the same issue. Also from the notes it seems the new version also takes the newer libraries which should improve things as well.
