Please upgrade to version 3.4.1 which I will publish very soon. It adds (beside some fixes) additional documentation about internals which helps to repair if somethings gone wrong (eg. interrupted replication). This documentation is just being reviewed. I'll send you an email, when 3.4.1 is published. @Bernard, Until Ryan can (hopefully) publish a new version you may unpack the tar file from nongnu.org at any place you want. You can start it from that place. This will not harm the "official" installation or any other unpacked tar file somebody might use.
