Dear Maintainer,
Sorry for the somewhat shortened first message. I'll give you some more
information.
In my opinion the cause of my problem was the Upgrade of
libgt-3-0_3.2.4-6, libgtk-3-bin_3.2.6-6 and libgtk-3-common_3.4.2-6 to
the Versions of 3.8.2-3. After downgrading these three packages to the
previous versions all runs well.
What's the output of
gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-theme
..the output is as follows:
"gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-theme"
GLib-GIO-Message: Using the 'memory' GSettings backend. Your settings
will not be saved or shared with other applications.
'Adwaita'
..but the output seems to be wrong..? Gnome-tweak-tool shows as GTK+
Theme "MediterraenanNight" and that's indeed my used GTK+ theme.
It's most likely a theme issue.
Do you know which theme engine MediterraenanNight uses?
If it is unico, this is a bug in gtk3-engines-unico [1]
I'd recommend installing gnome-themes-standard and using the Adwaita
theme, since that is the default theme which is properly tested and
works with gtk 3.8.
I upgraded libgt-3-0_3.2.4-6, libgtk-3-bin_3.2.4-6 and
libgtk-3-common_3.4.2-6, changed the theme to "Advaita-X-dark and indeed
it works!
There are only two Theme-Engines I've installed, "gtk3-engines-oxygen"
and indeed "gtk3-engines-unico". So I think you are right.
Thanks for the help. Hope I've not given you too much trouble since in
the end it was my fault..
Greetings
Dirk Linnerkamp
