Package: mit-scheme
Version: 9.1.1-1
Severity: serious

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install. As
per definition of the release team this makes the package too buggy for
a release, thus the severity.

>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  Selecting previously unselected package mit-scheme:amd64.
(Reading database ... 7004 files and directories currently installed.)
  Unpacking mit-scheme:amd64 (from .../mit-scheme_9.1.1-1_amd64.deb) ...
  Setting up mit-scheme:amd64 (9.1.1-1) ...
  /var/lib/dpkg/info/mit-scheme:amd64.postinst: 27:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/mit-scheme:amd64.postinst: dpkg-architecture: not found
  dpkg: error processing mit-scheme:amd64 (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 127
  Errors were encountered while processing:
   mit-scheme:amd64

Adding a Depends: dpkg-dev is not the solution.
The path substitution must be done at package build time, not at
installation time. With the current postinst script, the installation of
mit-scheme:i386 on amd64 will fail even if dpkg-dev is installed.

cheers,

Andreas
