I was atonished when I saw the size of chromium-browser upstream tarball, 1.2GB. Lurking into source tree I saw third_party directory is up to 2.1GB, and third_party/WebKit is about 1.4GB, 1.3GB for third_party/WebKit/LayoutTests, which is not shipped along webkitgtk Debian source package (9.4MB). Please, consider stripping out third_party/WebKit/LayoutTests from source treeto reduce upstream tarball size.
