Dear Maintainer, *** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? 1.- Install nvidia-glx-legacy-173xx. plus dependencies. 2.- Run nvidia-xconfig. 3.- Reboot. 4.- Check the power source as reported by nvidia-settings (either GUI or command line). It always reports "battery", even when on AC power. 5.- The battery icon in the panel correctly reports that the AC is connected. 5.- It is clear from /var/log/Xorg.0.log, that Nvidia's Powermizer is checking the status of the power source from deprecated /proc/acpi/ac_adapter/status, which does not exist, rather than from /sys/class/power_supply/AC/online * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? * What was the outcome of this action? * What outcome did you expect instead? *** End of the template - remove these lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.1 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.9-0.bpo.1-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
