Package: libmongodb-perl Version: 0.700.0-1 Severity: important Unless prevented by policy-rc.d, mongodb-server, which is now a Build-Dependency of libmongodb-perl, will start up its default instance, and the test suite will end up using this.
I haven't checked whether the test suite could overwrite user data in this instance; if so this bug should be upgraded to grave. In any case this situation is fragile and should be fixed. Ideally the mongod invocation in debian/rules should pick a random unused port to listen on and pass the port number to the test suite. In the meantime, I will apply a fix to allow the build to succeed even though stopping the test mongod instance could fail (as it exits after failing to bind to the correct port). -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
