Package: xinput Version: 1.6.0-1 xinput gives me some funny chars instead of ASCII art, for example:
% xinput --list â¡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)] â â³ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)] â â³ Logitech USB Receiver id=6 [slave pointer (2)] â â³ Logitech USB Optical Mouse id=9 [slave pointer (2)] ⣠Virtual core keyboard id=3 [master keyboard (2)] â³ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5 [slave keyboard (3)] â³ Power Button id=7 [slave keyboard (3)] â³ Power Button id=8 [slave keyboard (3)] â³ HID 046a:0011 id=10 [slave keyboard (3)] â³ Eee PC WMI hotkeys id=11 [slave keyboard (3)] â³ ACPI Virtual Keyboard Device id=12 [slave keyboard (3)] % echo $TERM xterm Terminal is a xterm. Other programs using ASCII art work fine in the same terminal window (aptitude, dialog, etc.).
