Package: distcc Version: 2.18.3-3 Severity: normal distcc's init.d file sets LISTENER to 127.0.0.1 by default, and sets it again in /etc/default. This means that simply removing the LISTENER definition from the default file doesn't actually disable it. The correct thing to do is likely to remove the LISTENER definition from the init.d file so it's easier to figure out what's going on. An explanatory comment in the default file is probably also a good idea.
