Package: moreutils
Version: 0.49
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-CC: paral...@packages.debian.org

the gnu parallel package has now removed its default moreutils
compatibility mode and the package conflicts with moreutils instead:
http://packages.qa.debian.org/p/parallel/news/20130707T223324Z.html

But I'd like to be able to use the tools in moreutils and gnu parallel,
but not moreutils parallel.

Would it be possible to split the moreutils parallel binary and the rest
of the tools into two separate packages?

E.g. moreutils-with-parallel and moreutils-no-parallel
moreutils depends on moreutils-with-parallel and gnu parallel continues
to conflict that.
moreutils-no-parallel would then be coinstallable with gnu parallel for
the people who want the best of both.
Maybe moreutils-no-parallel could provide a parallel.moreutils binary so
users could have access to everything if they want to.
