Sorry to ask what may be a really stupid question but I've no understanding of LaTeX internals. Isn't a "limitation of the different ways to process files" another way of saying that there's a bug in dvips? If pdflatex can generate PDF files with links across different lines (apparently by creating two different elements), why cannot dvips do the same? -- Martin Michlmayr http://www.cyrius.com/
