Package: qemu Version: 1.5.0+dfsg-5 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Since upgrade from 1.5.0+dfsg-4 my guest startup crashes when guest tries to access passthrough USB device first time. qemu-system-x86_64: /build/qemu-UY9wHm/qemu-1.5.0+dfsg/hw/usb/core.c:413: usb_handle_packet: Assertion `p->ep->type != 3 || (dev->flags & (1 << USB_DEV_FLAG_IS_HOST))' failed. I researched the issue a bit and found very similar bug report from redhat: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=981183 There is even fix linked that https://github.com/qemu/qemu/commit/628e54857a82a3cb65ef96c12640c30d6307a064 I tested the fix locally and it fixes the assertion failure during quest boot. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages qemu depends on: ii qemu-system 1.5.0+dfsg-5 ii qemu-user 1.5.0+dfsg-5 ii qemu-utils 1.5.0+dfsg-5 qemu recommends no packages.
