Hi! I am kinda puzzled about this, cause manpages-it contains more translated man-pages other than the ones pertaining dpkg and I think that a Replaces in dpkg (which is a package installed on every Debian system, I suppose) makes the manpages-it package basically "uninstallable". I was told that if a package had its own translated man pages (dpkg in this case) those would have taken precedence over the ones on manpages-it, so it would not have been a great problem to have "double" translated versions. Anyway I did ask for the removal of those man pages from manpages-it, to make things clearer. > Beatrice, when moving around translated material, if you know of this > kind of situation, it might be pretty helpful to mention it on the > submitted bug report. :) I will from now on. But please note that the package manpages-it is not created/maintained by Debian Italian localization team, but rather has been traditionally maintained by the Italian Linux Documentation Project. Although I did ask permission for the update from the previous translators, the Italian Debian localization team has no control on the manpages-it collection which, as far as I know, it's going through some reorganization upstream after a period of not very active maintenance. Thanks for the heads up and the hint. I will follow your suggestion in the future! beatrice -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
