Do you have a preference?
The wrapper sounds like a workaround. My preference would be for you to
ask the new upstream to add support for the old acpidump command-line
options. Based on the --help output it wouldn't be much work.
More concerning is #714426, that should probably be an RC bug?
Bug #714426 will be fixed with next upload (most likely today, if
build tests pass).
I need to apologize, too. I misspoke :(. I had been looking at
the wrong version of acpidump because of my PATH setup.
The new version has basically the same command line as the old
version. There are no --output or --binary parameters, but there
are -o and -b, respectively, that do the same thing.
Is that sufficient? Or was it the long parameter names that were
wanted?
