Your request is fair, I have not made any releases recently nor worked on it much. However, for what it's worth, I do still intend to update it, and have started working on removing the old HAL code (RC bug #596034). I can't make any promises regarding the timeline though. The other two RC bugs (#646468, #707471) are trivial one-liners. For one a fix is in git, for the other just requires removal of -DG_DISABLE_DEPRECATED from the CFLAGS.
