Why do you only believe that? Didn’t you test it?

Also, can you please file this directly with upstream? In case there is
anything that is really blocking you from doing that, let me know and I
can forward it, but I am not particularly keen on playing proxy here :).

makes me think that XEmacs < 21.5.32 will not be supported by upstream,
and I’d like to avoid carrying patches that upstream does not want to
have, especially modifying behavior that I neither know a lot about nor
care about (as I previously mentioned, I just use emacs24).
