Hi, Although we can get ibus 1.4.2 series package called 1.5.1.is.1.4.2-2/testing and 1.5.1.is.1.4.2-3/unstable get to work under GNOME 3.2, 3.4, and 3.8, ibus 1.5.2 has been not working (that is this bug is for). ibus-mozc will be patched to get icon back.
But we want to have ibus 1.5 for GNOME 3.8. My uploaded packages to experimental was based on the official upstream VCS https://github.com/ibus/ibus it did not work. This Debian package source can be seen as master branch at: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-ime/ibus.git;a=summary I also tried to make package with the same patches as FC19 as: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-ime/ibus.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/fc19base (Maybe checking out git://anonscm.debian.org/pkg-ime/ibus.git is easier to see.) This fc19base source did not work either. I am using chroot with experimental packages. So I am lost. Can someone help me to package functioning ibus? Funny thing is the Setting for GNOME 3.8 is funny: --> Click Keyboard --> Click to select Typing(TAB) --> Click bottom left text "Input Sources" --> Click active "+" sign on the Input Sources bar --> Crash Am I missing something. Any help is appreciated. Oh, I see Daiki said in other discussion: Maybe today's preferred way to find the setup executable is reading ibus-setup-<engine>.desktop, as gnome-control-center does. [1] https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-control-center/tree/panels/region/cc-region-panel.c#n739 Hmmm... but then why it shows nothing here. Regards, Osamu PS: SUPER-M may show icon for fcitx even if you do not start it from im-config since it uses different mechanism. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
