Funny, all I have to do to reproduce it here is a simple "apt-get source samba". And as far as buildds go, by widening the net a bit I found: <URL:http://buildd.debian-ports.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=samba&arch=ppc64&ver=2%3A3.6.16-1&stamp=1373546725> which shows the same issue. So I'd guess a recent change in sid triggered this, like maybe patch_2.7.1-3 uploaded c.
